Haley bateman

Haley's determination to ensure that local politicians remain transparent and accountable to their community has garnered a great deal of attention in recent years. Her work to reinstate the Integrity Commissioner at Niagara Region has unquestionably impacted the manner in which our elected representatives act and react when their positions and actions are called into question.

Haley has been an active volunteer for the City of St. Catharines and by extension, the Region of Niagara. Haley Chaired the Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee pushing for more inclusive and diverse governance model. She aided in the creation of the Equitable Recovery Sub-Committee in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The end result of the Sub-Committee's work was a fulsome equitable plan, currently being adopted by the City of St. Catharines. She also sat as a member of the Social Sustainability Pillar Committee.

A life-long resident of Niagara, Haley lives in St. Catharines with her partner and their children.
